something to consider
Is it time for Christians to stop blindly supporting Israel...... read a Christian document from those who live under Israeli oppression: here... for purposes of a counterpoint, here is an article from Elwood McQuaid, who writes for Israel my Glory, a magazine of the Friends of Israel organization..... here.

I do think Christians should stop supporting Israel as the fulfilment of prophecy because it's a misunderstanding of scripture and prophecy but, having lived in several Arab countries, I don't think the Palestinians are half as oppressed as Christians in the Arab-Muslim states professing to be friends of 'Palestine'.
I don't think the issue has ever been support for what militant Israelis do, or the more extreme steps the government does (officially or unofficially).
I think the support is for the existence of Israel. Americans are wired for sovereignty, at home and abroad.
We don't dissolve countries, even when we conquer them. Without American support the state of Israel would cease to exist. Dysfunction would set in within a year and war would break out within three.
There would be massive loss of life on all sides and no one would be better off living in whatever rubble remained.
We're stuck, as it were. They have a blank check to do whatever they think is necessary to survive.
Incidentally, I went to school with the daughter of a former ambassador to Jordan. She made it quite clear that the Jordanian government used Israel as a foil for all manner of internal politics. This is well known aspect of middle-east stability.
If Israel would fall, a few years later we would see one or more other governments in the region destabilize from internal stresses.
